2021, the recovery

This summer was full of promises. After a year 2020 that was nothing short of gloomy from a sporting point of view, all hopes of a recovery were invested in 2021. The Euro and the Olympic Games answered the call and made for a sporting summer, if not a sunny one.

The Euro :

Despite a rather disappointing result for the French team, eliminated in the quarter-finals, this edition was far from monotonous, with numerous trips complicated by sanitary conditions that were sometimes difficult. The Euro provided an opportunity to renew with a great international sports festival with a rekindled fervor.

With more than 230 flights, 25 hotels, and 2,200 overnight stays managed on our end, it was an event that presented many logistical challenges, but VPI was delighted to be able to be close to the action again, particularly in Budapest and Munich!

The Tokyo Olympics:

There were many obstacles to holding these extraordinary Games. But they held firm and the result lived up to expectations. In fact, despite the strict sanitary conditions: regular testing, quarantines, tracing applications and other heavy measures, no less than 6,000 nights in Tokyo were managed by our team on site.

It was also an opportunity for the agency to assist the French National Olympic and Sports Committee (CNOSF) in operating the event services of Club France, the celebration place of the French Olympic movement.

All eyes are now on Paris for the 2024 Summer Games. Will the conditions be more flexible? Will the public be back? One thing is certain: VPI is focused to assist its professional clients in the organization of their travel and logistics.

These two events have been rich in lessons and characterized by beautiful encounters. We would like to thank all those who shared these events with us, whether they were clients or partners, and we hope to see them again very soon.
