For the second time in the competition’s history, the Eurobasket 2019 will be co-hosted by two different countries. In 2015, Hungary and Rumania had the honour to share the event. In 2019, though, there will be no common border between the hosts, as Latvia and Serbia are 2000 km distant, with no direct flight to connect them. The competition’s logo reflects the way in which the competition will thus bounce from city to city (Riga, Niš, Zrenjanin and Belgrade), similar to a dribbling motion. It also evokes the shape of a crown, the wearer of which will be decided on July 7th, the date of the final.
